It's been a weird day for Detective Raven White, which is really saying something, as he is the only detective dealing with Paranormal and supernatural cases in Quebec.

First there was the stranger in the coffee shop who sucked Raven's finger.

Then there was the missing person's report.

Which is how Raven finds himself paying a visit to Freshán Chetlér, with no clue as to what awaits him... Raven's life is about to undertake a monumental shift.

Well this was different. I’m not too much into paranormal books, I do read them from time to time, but when I think of paranormal, I never think of reading about demons because that is something really out of my comfort zone. This book pushed a little those boundaries I have, and it was really good.

I’m not familiar with the author but I’m always looking for new authors to read. This was a nice first impression. I didn’t liked that much the main character, but the story was really good. I am very intrigued by the plot, especially what the detective is investigating.

The relationship between the main characters was nice, very intense, but way too driven by lust to my taste. I liked it but I want more, so much more. I’m truly hooked by the story. I hope I would care a little bit more for Raven in the next instalments that I definitely plan on reading. Overall a very interesting book.

Norm
This little piece of heaven is simply an amazing tale to behold, rich words so full of intent and so so hot it moved me like few other authors have managed and with such short pages too. I truly cant wait until the rest of the book comes out! Please please wolfie boy gives us some more!
This book was very short but definitely enthralling. Raven, a detective with allergies, is looking for a missing person. At the same time a Demon, Bla'Gar, realizes that Raven is his mate. I love the world building, and I even learned that they have hell hounds, but to get rid of them just use rock salt, and off to hell they go. ) The writing is excellent, and now I really want the next part. I find this to be an engrossing read.
So here’s the thing. I’m not a fan of serialised novels and tend to stay away from them until the full story is available. I’m kinda compulsive when it comes to my reading and prefer to read a story from start to finish – if at all possible in one sitting. But the blurbs and reviews for the first three episodes sounded so intriguing I’ve decided to break my own rule and go ahead and read them.

Episode 1 was a tremendous opening. I think it took two paragraphs for the action to kick in and me to lose myself in the narrative. I like the idea of humans and supernatural beings have to share the world, trying to find a balance and ways to deal with prejudices.

Raven was a fascinating character and his dog allergy (and what a thing to have in a world inhabited by normal dogs as well as Werewolves and Lycans) provided a few lighter and funny moments as well as endeared him to me.

Freshán Chetlér or Bla’Gar, even if Raven doesn’t know that name yet, was an equally fascinating character. As a very old demon he is much more powerful than Raven, and yet Raven’s presence and especially sexual contact with Raven leaves him almost powerless to control his true nature. What’s not to love about a super-strong character being rendered almost helpless by someone who should have been much weaker? And when Bla’Gar and Raven come together.... Well, hot doesn’t begin to describe it.

I’m very glad to say that while it is very clear the story isn’t over when this episode ends, it didn’t end on a cliffhanger. I’m even gladder that I have episode 2 lined as my next read.
I should start off by saying that I haven't read a lot of fantasy or supernatural or whatever genre you choose to classify werewolf and vampire stories. I respect each genre, and can certainly see the appeal in this genre. I merely prefer reading stories that are grounded in realism so that I can relate to that fictional world.

With that said, I have opened myself lately to more fantasy stories - because of authors like Wulf Godgluck - and I'm so happy I did.

It's rare that I come across an author that has such an easy way with words. Even though Wulf concentrates on every detail in the exposition and paints the world with vibrant colours, you are not annoyed with his lengthy descriptions but instead are drawn in by carefully considered and weighed prose that bring to life a masterfully created world.

I appreciate how difficult it is to avoid showing and telling, and when I come across an author who has mastered showing rather than telling in his writing, I want to consume all the works and just study and learn from it. The carefully constructed dialogue reveals character and conflict, the chemistry between the characters places you smack in the middle of their story and you can't help but care for them.

The story ended satisfyingly as a standalone, but you definitely want the follow up after finishing it. It's a short book, but within those few dozen pages you are transported to a beautifully created world filled with masculine hot and pissed off demons and Lycan and wolves and even more screwed up, flawed humans. I will be binge reading the follow ups in this series in short order.

Thank you for making a fan of this subgenre out of me!
Wow! I've read many paranormal books by different authors but this has been my first foray into the world of demons and what an introduction. Episode One is short but it has me panting to know more. We are introduced to Raven White a detective in charge of everything supernatural and paranormal. A missing persons case has brought him into contact with Bla'Gar Chetler who is a demon (yes that's the dude's name and yes I couldn't pronounce it either but it sort of set the tone for the 'other worldly' feeling of the story) This is where the chemistry starts and the sparks fly...no spoilers...let me just say that scene was hot! I especially loved the sneezing episode and can only imagine how embarrassing it must have been for Raven! Raven is one of those MC's that you cannot help but root for from the word go. Bla'Gar on the other hand is the alpha male personified I think. This is the second book I've read by this author who in my opinion is a great story teller whose characters seem to grab you and make you want to go along for the ride. Can't wait for episode Two!
